As you are aware, Idaho State University is implementing a mandatory COVID-19 screening program for all students, faculty, and staff with a physical presence on campus. This program will require any member of the Idaho State community who spends time on campus, including outreach centers, to undergo two non-invasive, saliva-based screenings in January.
An email was sent to faculty, staff, and students on January 4 to schedule the first screening appointment. The first screening appointment should be scheduled between January 6 and January 14.
Students who do not wish to participate in this screening may still attend class online. However, screening is required to participate in face-to-face classes. Students who do not complete the screenings will receive a reminder notice, and may be administratively disenrolled from in-person classes. Exemptions, deferrals, or alternative methods of compliance can be requested online at isu.edu/roaringback.
Students should be aware that the drop deadline for full semester courses is January 25, and for early 8-week courses is January 15. Withdrawing from classes after those deadlines will result in “W” designations on transcripts. Students should also note that a reduction in credit hours may impact financial aid eligibility.
If you have questions or concerns about the University’s COVID-19 screening program, or need help adjusting your class schedule, please contact the Dean of Students.
